I can use any wood, one in particular is becoming increasingly popular, Accoya.  It comes with a 50 year guarantee against rot and decay.  It simply doesn’t deteriorate and I make all external painted windows and doors from it, and sometimes leave it untreated such as this rain shelter for the children of St Michaels School.
